Orion Navigasi Laut (ORION) has been established in the end of 2018, although the history goes back to 2011 when the founder and key persons behind Orion had started the involved in marine navigation and communication field. Not limited to that, they were involved in wireless communications and networking far more earlier.
Orion’s management excels in devising intricate designs for navigation, communication, and wireless/satellite equipment. Their proficiency extends to catering to the sophisticated needs of diverse vessels. Ranging from small to medium-sized passenger and workboats to heavy tankers. Ensuring compliance with stringent SOLAS/IMO, GMDSS, and Radio regulations.

Donny Wahyudi is a highly accomplished and driven professional with over 15 years of experience in the marine navigation and communication field. In 2018, he founded PT. Orion Navigasi Laut, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to delivering exceptional results. With a background in Civil Engineering from the National University of Malaysia and a self-taught expertise in navigation and communication, Donny has consistently demonstrated his proficiency in leading and completing notable projects for new building vessels and retrofits.
Throughout his career, Donny has thrived in challenging roles that have allowed him to leverage his skills effectively. His involvement in highly complex projects, such as the Navy AL BCM-3, Pertamina’s Oil Tankers (17,500 DWT), multiple type passenger vessels/Roro, offshore support vessels like AHTS and OSV, and research vessels equipped with sophisticated sensors for marine data gathering, exemplifies his ability to deliver exceptional results within specified timelines and budgets.
An instrumental figure in the deployment of multiple coast radio stations/GMDSS monitoring for Bakamla, Donny’s expertise in marine navigation and communication systems has significantly improved communication capabilities and enhanced the safety of maritime operations.
Donny’s professional journey has been characterized by managing and supporting a diverse range of local and international clients. Notably, he has forged strong partnerships with esteemed organizations such as the Indonesian Navy, Pertamina, Rawabi, Aramco, Vallianz, and several international clients. Additionally, his contributions to government projects for Dishub, Bakamla, KPLP, and others have further solidified his reputation as a trusted expert in the industry.
